SGSE designs in all common materials with a preference for timber and sustainable materials wherever possible.
Project deliverables can be tailored to suit the client’s requirements, from sketch details to full Revit™ modeling. Documentation to assist with Building Consent applications can include;
PS1 Producer Statement covering B1 (Structure)
Letter-in-lieu of PS1 for B2 (Durability)
Maintenance Schedule
Memorandum Certificate of Design Work (MCoDW)
Design Features Report (DFR)
Design Review (PS2)
SGSE offers a Design Review service, either for Building Consent Authority (to provide PS2 Producer Statement) or for peace of mind.
Construction Monitoring (PS4)
SGSE undertakes Construction Monitoring of structural works and can provide PS4 Producer Statements for designs undertaken both in-house and by other consultants.
Defect Inspection Reports and Building Pathology
SGSE Defect Inspection Reports provide advice to homeowners and insurers regarding structural defects in their home or property. Common causes of damange can range from suspected foundation movement, overloaded and undersized members, flood-damaged bracing to spalling concrete and corroded steelwork.
Particular areas of specialty are conventional timber framed houses as well as historic masonry construction.
Feasibility Reports
SGSE can provide initial informal or formal report advice on proposed works or wild dreams. We can tailor the level of preliminary advice to suit your requirements and help you start your project on the right foot.
